ADULTING 101 WORKSHOPS
Ever wish there was a class that taught the real-life skills needed for adulthood? Adulting 101 Workshops is a hands-on series designed specifically for young adults with disabilities who want to build independence, confidence, and practical life skills in a fun and supportive environment. Each month focuses on a different topic that helps participants navigate everyday situations while developing decision-making, communication, and self-advocacy skills.
Participants will engage in interactive discussions, role-playing activities, community-based learning experiences, and skill-building exercises that encourage personal growth and independence. Monthly themes include Out on the Town, which focuses on community engagement, social etiquette, and navigating public spaces; Care of Me, Myself, and I, which explores personal wellness, self-care, and healthy living habits; and Love is in the Air, which discusses friendships, healthy relationships, communication, and social boundaries.
Whether preparing for greater independence at home, work, or in the community, participants will gain valuable tools and confidence to successfully navigate adulthood while building meaningful connections with peers.
